Maryland School Discipline Laws: Bullying and Suspension
Question:
My child was being bullied and hit back. Is he responsible for the fight?
Answer:
If your child was being bullied and hit back at school, they may not be solely responsible for the fight. An incident of bullying can be reported by a student, parent, or school staff member. It is important to report the incident and the school should have procedures for investigating acts of bullying, harassment, and intimidation.
